What I built5
- Built a Python MCP server on FastMCP that gives AI agents 7 tools: billing, payment history, hourly and daily energy usage, outages, account profile, and raw access to any SRP API endpoint.
- Reverse-engineered the portal's login flow and API calls, since the utility publishes no API documentation.
- Added 4 analysis prompts on top of the data tools: usage trends, bill explanations, savings advice and account comparison.
- Shipped a one-click setup wizard that signs in through the browser, with credentials kept in environment variables rather than code.
- Covered the server with a pytest suite and a demo client for checking a live connection.
